Automation and Data Management for Manufacture of Tissue-Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (TERM) Products

Regenerative medicine—what is it and why is everyone talking about it? Although not a new medical product area, new legislation from Congress has placed a spotlight on these promising therapies. Over the past twenty years, the tissue engineering and regenerative medicine (TERM) field has stagnated due to the inability to engage in manufacturing of these products on a large scale and/or with reliability. This workshop will address why and how automation and data management tools can help overcome this challenge. The event will feature expert-level presentations from the TERM, automation and data management fields. With a focus on collaboration, participants will engage in highly-interactive breakout sessions to address the barriers of adopting automation and data management tools.
