Join us for “Smart, Sustainable, Streamlined: Factories of the Future,” our Manufacturing USA session at South by Southwest 2025. South by Southwest (SXSW) is the premier destination for global thought leaders working on new ideas to cultivate creativity and build a better future. Much of SXSW’s programming is tech-based and future-thinking, creating a perfect environment to share the programs and projects of the Manufacturing USA innovation institutes.

“Smart, Sustainable, Streamlined: Factories of the Future” will explore what’s on the horizon for manufacturing in the next two decades and beyond.  Moderated by the ARM Institute’s Suzy Teele, the panel will feature Maria Curry-Nkansah (EPIXC), Kathie Leonard (Auburn Manufacturing, AFFOA member), and Jeff Winter (CESMII).

Panelists will discuss the current state of U.S. manufacturing, what technologies the next few decades will bring, and what steps companies, both big and small, can take to future-proof their business. With diverse manufacturing backgrounds, our experts will explore innovations in areas like predictive analytics, automation, sustainability, and streamlined supply chains. While the future may seem unpredictable, success for U.S. manufacturing is attainable by leveraging these technologies.

Monday, March 10 at 11:30AM CT at the Austin Marriott Downtown in the Waterloo Ballroom 1-2
