Launching High School Bioengineers on their Paths to College and Careers

Chemical Processes, Design, Materials, Recycling & Reuse, Sensors, Sustainable Manufacturing
Format: In-person
Audience: K-12, Underserved community
Partners: BioBuilder, Ars BioTechnica, East Tennessee State University, Daicel Arbor Biosciences

Through this program, high school students throughout the country will have new opportunities to develop novel biotechnologies and then publish their research as peer- reviewed manuscripts in BioTreks, with support from Daicel Arbor who can supply industry-standard biomanufacturing reagents and mentorship from professional scientists. By simultaneously training students and celebrating their achievements, this project will increase awareness of biomanufacturing among community stakeholders, including parents of participating students, high school teachers, college admissions officers, and relevant local businesses.
