NextFlex Members and Supporters:
I am very excited to be writing to you as the new NextFlex Executive Director. My predecessor Dr. Malcolm Thompson established a solid foundation for growth and an environment for fostering collaborative innovation when he held the position. I am looking forward to connecting with the broader NextFlex community and members from the hybrid electronics ecosystem at next month’s workshop at Lockheed Martin’s Global Vision Center in Arlington, VA to build on this established foundation.
The workshop will provide insight for successfully transitioning hybrid electronics manufacturing technologies into critical defense applications, an extremely relevant topic that will generate strong attendee engagement and valuable discussions. Technical focus areas of the workshop include extreme environment electronics, additive manufacturing for advanced packaging, and supporting development of hybrid electronics-related standards. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with NextFlex members, staff, prominent DoD stakeholders, and the defense community at-large. We welcome non-members to attend this workshop to meet technology developers, product designers, and business leaders from the ecosystem. The event will conclude with engaging breakout sessions that will align the community and seek to broaden near-term adoption of hybrid electronics enabled components, modules, and systems.
The welcome reception on September 30 will be an excellent chance to network with the other attendees, if you are able to attend. If not, there will be plenty of other opportunities for discussions, including meals, demo sessions, and more. Having been a member of this innovative community since its inception, I look forward to speaking with you in my new position as the head of the NextFlex team.
Sincerely,
Dan Gamota, Ph.D.
