In August 2016, the directors of the Manufacturing USA institutes launched the Charter of the Institute Directors Council. The charter describes the council’s responsibility of supporting the goals of Manufacturing USA by facilitating cooperation and collaboration among the institutes with advice as needed from the federal sponsors of Manufacturing USA, agencies providing funding to the institutes, and the Advanced Manufacturing National Program Office.
