Amelia Stephens, Ph.D. is an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Science and Technology Policy Fellow (STPF) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Office of Advanced Manufacturing (OAM), which also serves as the Advanced Manufacturing National Program Office for Manufacturing USA. Amelia received a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

Prior to joining OAM, Amelia worked as a postdoctoral researcher for at the University of Pittsburgh, with a research focus on bacterial infections. During her time at Pitt, she became involved in science strategy, inspiring her to pursue an AAAS STPF fellowship.
