Erin Rushing is the Events and Outreach Specialist for the Partnerships and Outreach Division at National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Office of Advanced Manufacturing (OAM), which also serves as the Advanced Manufacturing National Program Office for Manufacturing USA. Erin received a B.A. with a double major in History and Art History and an M.L.S from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Prior to joining OAM, Erin worked as an Outreach Librarian for the Smithsonian Libraries and Archives in Washington, DC. In that role, she managed social media, coordinated internships, and planned outreach initiatives including tours, special events, and public programs. She previously held positions at the Smithsonian as Digital Images Librarian and Library Technician. Erin holds a certificate in Library Leadership and Management and is a member of the Society of Government Meeting Professionals.
At OAM, Erin is responsible for identifying and coordinating events and opportunities that support the division's objectives to develop strategic partnerships, outreach, communications, and manufacturing workforce initiatives.
