NextFlex, the Department of Defense-supported flexible hybrid electronics Manufacturing Innovation Institute [part of Manufacturing USA], hosted students, parents and teachers to a virtual celebration of Manufacturing Day 2021 that included remarks from the White House.
The institute was thrilled to welcome the Special Assistant to the President for Manufacturing and Economic Development, Elisabeth Reynolds, who shared her enthusiasm about the many opportunities available to people of all ages to get into the exciting field of advanced manufacturing. NextFlex was also honored to have Tracy Frost, the Director of the DoD’s Manufacturing Technology Program, talk about some of the many technology innovations being pursued by the institutes. After the welcome messages, participants got to ask NextFlex engineers all about what they do!
