The High Performance Computing for Energy Innovation (HPC4EI) Program, managed by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), has issued a special solicitation seeking industry partners to collaborate with the Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) national laboratories on projects to improve manufacturing processes.
This special solicitation invites members of Manufacturing USA, a network of 14 U.S. manufacturing institutes sponsored by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Department of Defense and DOE, to propose projects that could benefit though the application of HPC modeling, simulation and data analysis. More than 1,900 organizations belong to one or more of these institutes. Consortia of the DOE Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy’s Advanced Manufacturing Office (AMO) and their member companies also are eligible.
Applicants are highly encouraged to partner with universities and non-profit organizations located within federally designated Opportunity Zones and/or Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
